is over 100 years old. Requena
lies 70km from the capital of
Valencia with a history that goes

La Villa is officially protected
as a historical site of art and
architecture where a small palace
of El Cid is still preserved.
Other outstanding buildings are
the 14th century church of El
Salvador and the 15th century
Santa Maria church. Selections
of the old curtain walls still
stand as well as the keep which
houses the Wine and Archaeological
Museums.
