Pandiani opened the scoring for Osasuna, but Recreativo fought back. With just ten minutes to go Ersen Martin struck a shot into the net, and with almost the final kick of the ball, Nasief Morris scrambled the ball home to seal the three points. Racing Santander 0 2 Almeria A double from Juan Manuel Ortiz handed Almeria side the three points in Santander. Racing were never really in the match, and despite creating chances they could only manage one shot on target in the ninety minutes. Sporting Gijon 1 1 Athletic Bilbao Fernando Amorebieta scored a last minute header to deny Sporting Gijon a vital three points. Earlier, Bilic had powered a header into the net to give Gijon the lead. Saturday, 02 May 2009 Numancia 2 0 Malaga Numancia moved off the bottom of the table after victory over Málaga. After only a minute Moreno volleyed home and Del Pino added a second on the hour mark. Real Madrid 2 6 Barcelona With only four points between the two sides at the start of the match everything hung in the balance, and when Higuaín opened the scoring it looked like Madrid were closing in on their rivals. But two goals in as many minutes by Henry and Puyol turned the scoreline around, and Messi made it three before the break. Sergio Ramos headed one back after the restart, but Henry restored the two goal cushion, and late strikes from Messi and Piqué completed an amazing scoreline.
